Every version of 'A Christmas Carol' that has ever been made, even the one with Ross Kemp and the one with The Muppets. Can't wait for the new 'Peaky Blinders' one starting 22nd.

Pickled Walnuts
Available all year, I know, but for me the best meal of the year is Boxing Day Lunch.

Cold meats, bubble & squeak and assorted pickles in which pickled walnuts are my favourite.

Two jars hoarded since October in case there Is a seasonal shortage as happened once ruining my Christmas.

Re: Christmas pleasures
Christmas Day was the only day of the year that my old man was happy throughout the day. Midnight on Christmas Day back to normal and another clump around the ear come breakfast time. Anyway the smell of tangerines always brings that back

There’s a great meme with the Queen sitting at her desk with a picture of Andy and that young lady sitting on the desk in front of her. Says everything about the Roual family and an image I won’t be able to remove while listening to her horsey nonsense.

BTW

With reference to the OP. There’s a nut farmer from Kent that sells green Walnuts and roasted cob nuts at Borough markets on Fridays. The green Walnuts are sensational. Sweet and creamy. Well worth going if you have half a chance but the green ones are pretty much done.
